Return to Tanzania

Al Hajj Fidahusein Haji Mohamed Khaki (1921–2016) was a revered philanthropist, community leader, and visionary whose life was devoted to the betterment of others. Known for his piety, humility, and wisdom, he was fondly referred to as the "Luqman Hakim of the community"—a reflection of his profound insight and exemplary character. His glowing face, marked with sincerity and compassion, became a beacon of hope and inspiration for all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Through his tireless efforts, Al Hajj Fidahusein left an indelible legacy across continents, shaping the Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri community with his commitment to service, unity, and knowledge.

In 1978, following the tragic loss of his youngest son, Hasanain, at Kunduchi Beach Hotel in Dar es Salaam, Al Hajj Fidahusein returned to Tanzania. There, he continued his community service by modernizing the administrative systems of the Dar es Salaam Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri Jamaat. His work in updating the Lawajam records created a reliable framework that remains effective to this day, showcasing his remarkable foresight and dedication to organizational excellence.
